About Alison Vernon

Alison Vernon Alison Vernon was born in Cortland, New York, the fifth of six daughters. Her eclectic childhood included dairy farming, harness racing, and tug boating on the Chesapeake Bay. She married and moved to New London NH in 1982. Alison started painting after the birth of her three children. Over the years, her painting style and technique have evolved. She quickly learned to appreciate the texture and richness of painting with palette knives. Alison’s use of knives in combination with her vibrant colors and fresh subject matter has made Alison a favorite of private as well as corporate collectors.
